Interview with Michael Holmes, author of "Crossing the Creek"

I love hospice philosophy.

Over 30 years in health care services and I can honestly say I am happier today than in any job I have ever held. For those that are wondering where the job of motherhood and being a wife fit into this scenario - those two titles are not jobs. They are privileges.

I will be interviewing Michael Holmes, author of "Crossing the Creek" on February 6th, 2008 at 11 a.m. (EST) on the North Georgia Community Resources show. His works have re-inspired me. The insight I have gained from reading his books and other writings is opening new thought passages.

At first, I thought I would be intimidated by his depth of knowledge and experience beyond what I have in my background. Ironically, this is not the case. I am just more aware of my ability to expand beyond what is comfortable and grasp new knowledge.

This is fun to know. It means I am not too old to learn and that’s really good news.

I encourage you to join the show but be aware that this topic will not be suitable for all audiences. There will be no vulgarity but a discussion of something much darker. We will talk about dying. Sometimes the light shines much brighter once you no longer fear the darkness. Perhaps the only way to release the fear is to embrace it, examine it, then delight in knowing its power is revoked through the act of witnessing it.

Please visit Michael's site for more information about his books.

"It is quite impossible to understand dying process without first understanding that death does not end life." - Michael Holmes, Author: Crossing The Creek et al.

Self Publish Your Own Book

Every post and every blog has something about goals, dreams and resolutions for 2008.

Why not let your goal be to get your story in writing.

Some call them ethical wills, others call it journaling.

There is no excuse with all the advantages of the internet to not write your story. I will be glad to lend my self publishing experiences to you. Just get started.

On February 6th, I will be interviewing Michael Holmes, RN. He has published three books and one of them will probably be the focus of the show. The book is entitled, "Crossing the Creek".

This is the type of information that you do not ask for, you are given it at time when you are ready to demand it. It is called crises reading.

I hope everyone can join us on February 6th, 2008 on TalkShoe at 11 am eastern.
